Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise the same browser on a later page or visit. Related technologies, including local storage and session storage, do a similar job and are covered by this policy even though they are not technically cookies.

Cookies set by this domain are first party cookies. Cookies set by another domain whose service is used here, such as a payment provider, are third party cookies.

These make the store work and cannot be switched off through the site. Blocking them in your browser will break the cart or the checkout.

• Cart contents. Remembers what you have added so the cart survives moving between pages.
• Checkout session. Carries your order through the checkout steps.
• Security and fraud checks. Protects the store and your payment from abuse.
• Login session. Keeps you signed in to your account while you browse.
• Preferences. Remembers choices such as a dismissed notice.

These are set by the Shopify platform that hosts the store. Session entries clear when you close the browser; persistent ones last up to twelve months.

These tell us how the store is used in aggregate: which pages and categories are visited, how visitors move through the catalogue, and where a journey stops. It is reporting on patterns, not surveillance of an individual.

We use it to see which categories deserve more room and where the checkout loses people. We do not use it to build advertising profiles. These entries typically last up to two years and can be refused without affecting your ability to browse or order.

These remember choices that make the store more convenient, such as recently viewed products or a previously entered delivery region for estimating shipping. Refusing them does not stop you using the store, it simply means those conveniences reset each visit.

A small number of services set their own cookies when used.

• Payment providers. Set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and to complete the transaction.
• Shopify. Sets platform cookies needed to serve and secure the store.
• Embedded content. Where a page embeds a video or map, that provider may set its own cookies when the content loads.

These providers control their own cookies under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your browsing data, and this store does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can control cookies from your browser at any time. Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies, block third party cookies, block all cookies for a specific site, or clear everything when you close the window.

The settings are usually under Privacy or Site settings. Browsing in private or incognito mode clears everything at the end of the session automatically.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart remembering items and prevent checkout from completing. If the cart empties itself between pages, cookie blocking is almost always the cause.

Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal, but there is no agreed industry standard for how a site should respond, so this store does not currently alter its behaviour based on it. The controls in the section above give you direct control regardless.

This policy is reviewed whenever the services used by the store change, and at least once a year. The date at the top of the page records when the current version took effect and replaces earlier versions in full.
